32 hours later...
I'm back, yo. Things are great. Still don't have full internet access. Heh. Feels so weird to be sitting on the couch, watching Drew Carey, typing in my journal. Man, I love wireless web!

Matt and I went to dinner tonight at this cool place called The Ram. Let me just say that his Mini RULES! You can check it out at his website and stuff. I guess they're phasing out the velvet red colour on the Mini's. Oh. If you're into Minis or want to know more about them, you should check out Gabe's site.

Got lots planned this weekend. Gonna go to Ikea tomorrow, see Chicago, and go grocery shopping. I start my new job on Monday. I'm pretty excited. Oh, that's another thing we're going to do - do the drive to my new job.

I did find out that my grandfather has liver cancer. It doesn't look good, unfortunately. I don't know all the details yet, but should find out something this week. Please keep me in your thoughts.

Bedtime. Tired girl. Spent forever driving.

Congrats to both you and Matt. I knew you'd make it. I'm so happy for you that you made the move with so few bumps and that you're set up to be able to live in another town 1000 miles away so soon. Good job and good fortune to you.

Thanks, girlie. Man, it's going to be weird starting work tomorrow and not seeing the same ol' crew. Matt and I did go by my work, though. It's not a bad drive at all, just some pain in the arse road construction. Hopefully that'll be over soon. Dude, one thing about out here? TONS of toll roads! Heh. 90c here, 45c there... Luckily, I don't have to take any. The Elmhurst site is crazy. It's big, but only one level and the outside has mirror reflecting windows, so you can't see in. Seems like lots of people work here on the weekend, but I think that might be the call center folk. Not sure. So yeah! One piece. I think tonight, I may post a picture of the apartment (once we get it cleaned) and Gatts. She *loves* the apartment. Tons of big windows for her to stand in. Big ledges and all, too! There's a huge window in the living room, a sliding glass door in the kitchen, and a big window in our bedroom. A huge tree is in view from all three windows, and Gatts spends her time running back and forth from window to window, listening to birds. :-) It's cute. I'll try and Lotus you tomorrow, provided I get my cube all set up, etc.
